Circular Recycling System Improves Recovery Rate of Separated Bottle Caps & Handles
Specialized sorting and reprocessing facilities for plastic caps and bottle handles are built nationwide, solving the low recycling rate pain point of small PET packaging accessories. Traditional waste sorting lines often screen out tiny caps and loose handles as impurities, leading to massive recyclable plastic loss.
New automated sorting equipment uses density and optical identification technology to separate HDPE caps, PET handles and bottle fragments accurately. Low-temperature decontamination and granulation processes turn recovered caps and handles into qualified secondary raw materials for new packaging component production, forming a complete bottle-accessory recycling loop.
Recycled cap pellets are reused to make standard beverage closures after performance modification, while recycled PET handle fragments are blended into preform raw materials within safe proportion limits. The closed-loop model reduces virgin plastic demand and cuts industrial waste discharge for the whole packaging supply chain.
